Danger!

I had a link explode at the top of the hill on sunday's ride. The chain snapped and then wrapped itself around the rear cog and locked up the rear wheel. Luckily I wasnt moving very fast when this happened.

Yowch!

When I got my bike tuned up last year the guy at the shop told me I had about 600 miles left on the chain.

I got the bike tuned up again a week or two ago by the same guy. It was a tad over 600 miles since the last tuneup. What did the guy tell me?

I've got about another 600 miles left on the chain.

replacing bike chain > replacing timing belt.
